Grameen Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center (GAMCH & RC) was established in the year 1997-98 to meet the increasing demand for Ayurveda education and to revive this ancient system of medicine. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, Government of Karnataka and Government of India.

Courses offered Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Eligibility Criteria:

 

Students must have passed the 12th Std/two year PUC examination of the PUC education board, Bangalore or any other examination recognized as equivalent therein with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with minimum of 50% of marks in the aggregate of the relevant Science subjects (Physics, chemistry and Biology of the 12th Std. /Second year PUC examination only).

However in the case of students belonging to SC/ST/OBC the minimum requirements in percentage of marks for admission to the first BAMS Course is relaxed by 40% marks

Candidate should have attained the age of 17 years as on 1st October of the year in which admission is sought or as prescribed by the University

Any other requirements are subjects to change made from time to time by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka which is posted in the university website: www.rguhs.ac.in

Note: As per prevalent norms all Non-Karnataka applicants who seek admission for the BAMS should obtain the ‘ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE’ issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore.

B.A.M.S Degree

Fecilities
Classroom

 

GAMCH & RC has spacious, well ventilated classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements. Each class room is equipped with black board, white board, OHP & LCD. The Institute has a modern infrastructure and technological support to facilitate teaching, learning and personality development of its students. Latest audio-visual aids and multimedia technology enable the faculty to have interactive sessions of teaching which proliferate confidence and enthusiasm among the students.

Laboratories-Each department of GAMCH & RC has separate, equipped laboratories. All the laboratories are equipped with mannequins, stimulators and necessary articles for procedure demonstration, models, specimens, charts. Laboratories are utilized for demonstrations and student practice of procedures under supervision.

Library Facilities- Library at GAMCH & RC is a storehouse of knowledge, stocking more than 10000 books of current editions and has internet facility, browsing, Helinet connection with access to over 2000 medical journals. Library widens its service through digital library.

Books are the way to endless ocean of knowledge. A well managed library is the heart of an academic institute. The GAMC library System consists of a Central Library which collectively supports the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities by taking Library membership. Many National and International Journals in Hard Copy Educational General CD’s.

The Library is issuing books to students for a certain time period, after which they can be reissued.

The library remains open from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Library provides free wireless internet access to students.

The Library also provides appropriately equipped and configured computers for library users.
